Day 1

You’ll arrive at Kittilä Airport, where the transportation towards Kilpisjärvi begins. On the first evening, you’ll have the opportunity to settle into Hotel Santa’s Rakka peacefully and marvel at the magical snowy landscapes of Lapland.

Day 2

The second day starts with a delicious breakfast. You have a day to explore the village of Kilpisjärvi before an exciting tour Border of Three Countries. During the tour you can visit Finland, Sweden, and Norway in less than one minute! This safari is idel for beginners and first timers to try snowmobiling.

The trail runs on the frozen Lake Kilpisjärvi and through beautiful snowy birch forest to Koltavuoma where the yellow border cairn of three Nordic countries is located. It is called the most peaceful border in the world. Includes guiding, thermal outfit, photos by the guide, hot drink, pastry.

Day 3

This is the day when you should experience other activities in Kilpisjärvi! Go and try how to catch fish while you are on the lake covered in ice – we call it ”pilkkiä”. Or visit a local reindeer farm to meet a Sámi herder whose ancestors have been herding reindeer for centuries in Kilpisjärvi region. Book your other activity from ”Day Tours and Activities” section.

In the evening, you will have dinner filled with traditional Finnish flavors at restaurant Rakka, which is located in Santa’s Hotel Rakka. The menu includes tastes of reindeer, Finnish whitefish and licorice. Yummy! The most perfect way to end a day with full stomach.

Day 4

On the last morning before the transfer to Kittilä Airport, you’ll have the chance to enjoy some personal time, either savoring breakfast at your own pace or taking a stroll in the hotel surroundings.

Day 5-8

If you wish to enjoy more beautiful northern nature you can book some extra nights at Kilpisjärvi. A delicious breakfast will be included in your accommodation daily.
